Senior Cost Accountant

Job Description
LaSalle Network has partnered with a global chemical manufacturing company, located in the New Orleans area, who is immediately seeking a Senior Cost Accountant. The Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for preparing and inputting journal entries, participating in the closing and preparation of month end statements, the monthly preparation of key performance indicator reports and tracking and reporting on capital projects. This is a hybrid position with three days per week in office, with flexibility.Senior Cost Accountant Responsibilities:   Calculate and prepare journal entries for various costsConduct cost analysis and reportingEnhance local financial and cost reporting proceduresReconcile and track finished goods shipments for accurate reportingAssist in the componentization and closure of assetsPrepare and distribute AFE Status Reports by the 4th workday of each monthEnsure timely and accurate closure of AFEs to fixed assetsSenior Cost Accountant Requirements:Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent is required4+ years experience in accounting within a manufacturing companyStrong knowledge of SAP and ExcelExcellent organizational, problem solving and strategic thinking skillsCPA preferred
