Belcan is excited to be working with our client in hiring a Senior Mechanical - Piping Construction Field Representative in Batavia, OH area.Keywords: #mechanicalengineer #constructionmanager #pipingJob duties:Onsite professional services, including providing engineering inspection and control to support quality workmanship, safe environment, job project staffing, schedule adherence, QA/QC activities and follow up action items.Provide daily and weekly reports to the Site Management Team.Activities will include but not be limited to the following:Coordinate daily installation activities with construction contractors while effectively communicating to all stakeholdersManage the extra work order (EWO) process to include updating and tracking the EWO logEnsure subcontractors weekly quality control inspection reports are completed - inclusive of weekly tests and inspection on key areasSet and drive a culture of safety, communication, teamwork and accountabilityBe in the field supporting all aspects of project execution based on daily schedule and look-ahead schedule to mitigate risk, hold contractors accountable to installation quality and workmanshipEnsure a safe working environment based on H&S specificationsEvaluation of welding, reinforcing steel, underground piping, concrete: testing and observation, equipment, alignment, fabricated items, insulation (pipe covering), labeling (pipe & equipment), cost codes (If issued to field)Review design vs. installation planning in the field to ensure proper installation and avoid clashesBuild and/or maintain critical path schedules to ensure program status is communicated to appropriate stakeholders - including critical look-aheads for overall project & sub-projectsValidating and performing redlines for final as-built documentationInspection/Verification*Installation (including materials), plans & specifications, contracts, equipmentAdherence to Nestle's safety protocolsDay to Day 'Spokesperson'ContractorsPlantEngineering (including contracted consulting firms)Vendor representativesMake sure the latest (or correct) drawings are being usedDiscrepancy reportsAccident report review and approvalWeekly job meetings with published notesPunchlist 'Focus' for plant, contractor, engineeringConstruction and value engineering reviewQualifications:-PMP, PMI, GAC, CCM, CMCI, CMAA or similar is preferred-OHSA 30CPR TrainingFall ProtectionExperience:-Minimum of 5-10 years Construction Management experience in the field.MUST HAVE: Mechanical Piping construction experience in a food/CPG manufacturing environment.Experience managing projects through all phases of constructionRequires experience in an industrial manufacturing environmentFood manufacturing construction experience strongly preferredSkills:Minimum of 3 years software applications experience: MS Office 365 including Teams, SharePoint; BIM360Steel toe shoes are required, and to be provided by the worker at own expenseIf you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
