Senior Cloud Automation and Orchestration Engineer Location Arlington, VA : This position requires, at minimum, a current and active TS/SCI security clearance. As an experienced automation SME, you know how to take advantage of cloud capabilities. Here, you'll oversee our team of experts and use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to guide your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. We're looking for someone like you to help support national security.
You'll collaborate closely with fellow cloud architects and engineers specializing in AWS and Azure to design, define, develop, test, and debug cloud solution components. You'll have the chance to broaden your experience within a DevOps framework to build and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission. With access to our internal Azure, AWS, and GCP labs, you'll have the space and time to explore different ways of solving our clients' challenges, and you'll partner with stakeholders and lead your team to deliver the right technical solutions. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.?12+ years of experience professionally with IT systems 5+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)3+ years of experience with building, deployment, release automation, or orchestration for the US Government Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) Experience with automation tools, including Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible Experience with automating system configurations and orchestrating network operations and DevOps pipelines, scaling, releases, and day-to-day system operations in Cloud environments Experience in working within and managing Git-based version control systems, including Gitlab and Github HS Diploma or GED PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with identifying and implementing automation to improve user experience (UX) Experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML Experience with leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies Experience with documenting an as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations preferred Experience with containerization, including OpenShift, Docker, or Kubernetes Experience with managing personal project priorities and deliverables Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills Cloud Certification, including AWS, Certified Solutions Architect Associate Certification, Google Certified Professional - Cloud Architect, or MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure BENEFITS We celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choice, and support your total well-being.
