Your Key Responsibilities Plan, initiate, coordinate and monitor business relations with dedicated suppliers, within their categories for the Americas. Define global strategies for each category managed. Collaborate with Corporate and/or regional peers to define profitable purchasing/sourcing strategies and effective supply chains providing the lowest total landed costs. Continuously monitor Global Material Markets and manage/optimize the supplier portfolio in terms of ensuring quality, cost, on-time delivery, sustainability, and compliance with all laws and regulations. Track, monitor and analyze key material indices, including CRU, AMM, LME, etc. Negotiate prices and conditions in the context of Supplier Management Assignment (SMA), and manage and maintain all current supplier contracts and documentation supplied by our suppliers. Coordinate and steer assigned category, including purchase price planning and defining savings projects. Your Qualifications Required:
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.Minimum of five (5) years of experience in purchasing as part of an automotive tier one manufacturing organization.Strong cost analysis, project management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Experience successfully leading and managing cross-functional teams.External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship. Bachelor's degree in industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering.Demonstrated sourcing and purchasing experience in one or more of the following categories: castings, forgings, and wet and dry friction material.
