Senior Business Intelligence Developer

Role: Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer Location: Oakland, CA(Hybrid 2-days a week)(Need Locals) Duration: 12 + Months Job Description:
The Client is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with at least 5 years of experience in Microsoft PowerBI.
The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer will be responsible for migrating existing reports from current BI tool to Microsoft PowerBI.
Specific activities will be included, but not limited to, are validating technical and business requirements, strategy for master data and metadata management, data modeling, development of Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Highly proficient with Microsoft PowerBI.
Creating and generating paginated reports.
Understanding of permission and security models.
Use of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
Experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI) Stack
SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
In depth knowledge of creating Structured Query Language (SQL) scripts, stored procedures, views, common table expression (CTE) and functions.
Experience with data ingestion and migration.
Experience with YellowFin and other visualization tools desired.
Experience with Healthcare claims and billing, a plus.
Experience with Salesforce, a plus.
Education Requirements:
Graduated from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another related field and 5 years in experience in a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer role.
