Job Description:
The Role
As a member of the Client Implementation team, within Electronic Equity Trading, you\u00A0will\u00A0provide FIX (Financial Information eXchange), proprietary system, technical and network integration services supporting FCM s equity trading products, including Algorithmic Trading, Smart Order Routing, Direct Market Access and CrossStream ATS. Our counterparties include external Broker Dealers and Institutional Buy-Side Clients as well as internal Fidelity channels such as, Institutional Wealth Services and National Financial Clients.
Establishing FIX trading connections to and from FCM s trading infrastructure in partnership with peers
Gaining a solid understanding of equity market micro-structure through exposure
Crafting and configuring business logic and efficient routing rules.
Provide coordination between business units, end users, vendors, marketplaces and systems\u00A0development/applications\u00A0and programming areas for all FIX/order routing issues and enhancements.
Support all FIX related activities, configuration, and certification, as it relates to new product launches, business initiatives and regulatory changes.
Training under senior peers to develop expertise in complex fix protocol integration
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor's/Master's degree with 2-5 years of trading floor, trading systems, or technical implementation experience.
Series 7 and 63 required within 90 days of hire.
Working knowledge of Electronic Equity Trading including FIX Protocol, Algorithmic Strategies, EMS/OMS platforms, Smart Order Routing, Market Structure and Equity Order Types.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients and business partners at senior levels.
Sense of urgency and ability to resolve and/or manage around inevitable technical hurdles.
Successful candidate must be intellectually curious and forward thinking, with the ability to understand the big picture of our business and client base.
Outstanding attention to detail is a must
Buy-Side equity desk experience is a plus
