Responsibilities
• Translate business goals into technical requirements, conduct code/design reviews, and drive the technical implementation of this web project throughout the State Department software development lifecycle.• Work with adjacent development teams to implement integrated technical solutions.• Develop front-end code in a timely and high-quality manner while leveraging site standards including site structure, page templates, navigation and the site information architecture.• Be part of a team that builds AEM authoring components and templates• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and stable web solutions that meet business needs.• Utilize AEM to layout pages, troubleshoot issues, and train authors of the system.• Assign tasks and coordinate with offshore resources.• Partner with our contract's User Experience team to develop effective/engaging designs.• Utilize reusable templates and common HTML elements while leveraging centralized JQuery/JavaScript libraries and global CSS.• Use a shared standards library to be used by future web teams• Help with day-to-day operational tasks and assist in ensuring the quality of our website.• Own and drive specific area(s) of website functionality such as search, videos, web site performance - including but not limited to:oTriage issues in those areasoPrioritize enhancement storiesoDevelop features for those areas of responsibility.• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience) is required.• Experience coding front-end standards-compliant HTML/CSS that is scalable and cross-browser compatible.• Expert knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and related technologies• Knowledge of web project lifecycle including front-end/back-end development.• Successful track record interfacing and communicating effectively across cross-functional teams and with clients.• Exposure to developing new functionality (templates and components) in Content Management System• Experience developing in Adobe AEM• Ability to work with senior level clients, juggle multiple requirements, while paying strong attention to detail.• Understanding of usability and design best practices.• Secret Clearance required.• Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.• Self-starter with the ability to learn new tasks and skills.• Strong organization and communications skills.• Ability to multitask and have practical time management skills.• Team Player• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
