About the Job Thriveworks seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant who will manage treasury accounting functions, assist with tax compliance, perform account reconciliations, be involved in the month-end close process, and perform other accounting duties as assigned. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Treasury Management: Manage daily cash flow activities including cash forecasting and monitoring liquidity to determine periodic borrowing requirements
Conduct analysis to support treasury decision-making processes, including variance analysis and forecasting
Review and post daily cash journal entries and monitor and reconcile bank accounts monthly
Assist in the development and implementation of treasury policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks.
Tax & Business Compliance: Coordinate with external tax groups to deliver annual partnership returns and other applicable filings
Communicate effectively with external auditors and external tax groups to ensure compliance and resolve issues
Ensure timely and accurate completion of business license and property tax returns to comply with state and local regulations
Accounting: Assist in the month-end close process, including preparing, reviewing, and posting journal entries
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
Prepare monthly financial analysis and reports as requested
Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
Other projects as assigned
Skills / Qualifications Working knowledge of GAAP and tax laws
Proficient in Excel, including but not limited to pivot tables, xlookup, and advanced formulas
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders
Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure in a dynamic environment
Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement, including dealing effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations
Consider and proactively share ways to provide value to the organization and function through digitization, automation, and/or increased efficiencies
Familiarity with accounting software (Sage Intacct) preferred
Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
CPA required or working toward CPA to be completed within 12 months of the date hired
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
Experience working with multiple legal entities
Experience working with large sets of data
Prior healthcare experience is a plus
