We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with expertise in ASC 842 compliance to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing lease accounting processes and ensuring adherence to ASC 842 standards. Your primary focus will be on lease data management, financial reporting, and compliance with lease accounting regulations.
Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation and ongoing compliance efforts related to ASC 842 lease accounting standards.
Manage the identification, categorization, and recording of lease agreements in accordance with ASC 842 requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather lease data, assess lease terms, and determine appropriate accounting treatment.
Develop and maintain lease accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistent compliance with ASC 842 standards.
Conduct regular reviews of lease agreements to assess accuracy and completeness of lease data.
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements related to lease accounting activities.
Assist in the development of lease accounting-related disclosures for external financial reporting.
Stay updated on changes to lease accounting standards and regulations, and provide guidance to internal stakeholders as needed.
Support internal and external audit processes related to lease accounting.
Provide training and guidance to finance and accounting teams on ASC 842 requirements and best practices.
