The role will work on day-to-day GL accounting of the Beyond Meat US book. The role will also be responsible for preparation of balance sheet accounts reconciliation and income statement flux analysis, managing payment status for state and local taxes, and working on complex accounting projects.TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing financial transactions and records Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepanciesMaintain the general ledger by reviewing trial balance and preparing reconciling entriesParticipate in general ledger accounting, including month end close, prepaids, expense accruals, flux analysis and reportingAssist with the identification and improvement of controls and processesSummarize financial status by collecting informationAssist in the preparation of the balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statementsAssist with external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; prepare information for auditorsDocument and monitor internal controls in support of the auditing teamProvide support in complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with managementCollaborate with internal and external departments to support company objectives and key results (OKRs)Ad hoc responsibilities and reports as neededQUALIFICATIONSBS degree in accounting or finance required 3 or more years of experienceCPA or CPA Candidate preferredMust possess knowledge of GAAPMix of public and private accounting preferred but not requiredFamiliarity working in a SOX environmentPPE Experience or understanding full PPE cycleSystem implementation preferredNet Suite experience & Experience researching GAAP guidance preferredIntermediate to advanced Excel skills, with experience in the heavy use of Pivot Tables, Sumifs, and VLOOKUPStrong analytical and organizational skillsProactive and deadline orientedExcellent communication skills to all levelsComfortable in a fast-paced environmentWORK ENVIRONMENTPrefer in person 5 days a week at HQ in El Segundo, CA Open to a Hybrid arrangement for the right caliber and experienced candidate$100,000 - $115,000 a yearThe starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $100,000 and $115,000. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
