Our Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting the accounting/finance department with monthly financial close, monthly financial reporting, annual budgeting, and other duties. Supervises and direct staff accountant(s) as needed.
Education: Bachelor degree in Accounting Experience: Two to three (2-3) years relevant General Accounting experience Strong Excel experience and attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and Microsoft FRx preferred Licenses/Certifications: CPA preferred Assist with managing and completion of monthly and year-end closings including preparation and/or review of journal entries. Visit sites for other meetings as needed (i.e. financial training for field personnel, inventory counts, new site implementations, etc.). Communicate regularly with clients (both internal and external) to fulfill client requests and needs. Compile and support external auditors' requests for information and documentation. Direct various projects (i.e. new site implementations, internal control formulation and implementation, process improvements, etc.). Responsible for preparation and/or review of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, financial reports for management and clients, various other financial analyses. Supervise and review work (financial reports, journal entries, etc.) of staff accountant (s). Assist management with annual budget preparation. Prepare and perform financial presentations for clients and management during site visits. Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations. Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations. Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
