Our client located in Minneapolis/St. Paul area has an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant - Consultant. This is a hybrid Sr. Accountant - Consultant is requiring 5-7 years' experience as a Sr. Accountant or Accounting Manager working within the manufacturing or distribution industries. This hybrid consulting position is an excellent opportunity to work with a growing and every changing team. This Sr. Accountant consulting engagement will pay $50-$60/hour and will be a 6-12 month engagement with our client.
Responsibilities include: · Working with heavy GAAP compliance, complex reconciliations, JE, and all closings
· This role has complex accounting and business transactions due to the industry and need someone that has this understanding and compliance needed
· Prepare all balance sheet entries, reconciliations, prepare work papers and assisting with budgeting, forecasting and analysis
· SEC reporting/disclosures, heavy GL, financials analysis to identify key trends, SOX
· Monthly product costing and working with inventory reconciliations
· Prepare and analyze monthly variance reports and communicate key drivers to management.
· Work within the company's compliance, controls, and policies for a strong internal control
· May be part of an integration of a new accounting system, experience identifying and implementing a new system is key in previous roles
Prepare all tax accounting, compliance and reporting
Requirements: · Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
·5-7 years' experience in accounting or finance field
· Experience with SAP, JDE, GreatPlains, Oracle or Lawson with advanced Excel
·5-7 years' experience working in a Healthcare/Hospital environment
· GAAP and IFRS experience and strong technical accounting background
· Solid Excel/database skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
· MBA is highly preferred
· SAP, Oracle or Great Plains
· Minimum 5 years' experience as a Senior Accountant
