Seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (Balance/Fall oriented) Hours : Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm (No Weekends) Location: Hilton Head, South Carolina We are in search of a Balance/Fall oriented Physical Therapist Assistant to add to our team. We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated PTA who will help with managing the caseload of the Physical Therapist. The therapist would be expected to treat all out-patient diagnoses but would lean more heavily into the neuro/balance/fall caseload.
Our approach is patient centered which will allow you quality patient time a caseload ratio of 10-12 patients per day. (45-minute treatment blocks).
Tasks and responsibilities :
Evaluate the physical capabilities and limitations of patients. Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and home exercise programs. Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and promote interdisciplinary collaboration. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications: Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapist school. CPR certification. Balance Care: Proficient in addressing individual unique patient needs. Strong clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently in addition to collaborating in a team environment. Commitment to patient-centered care with empathy and professionalism. Prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not required. Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
