We are looking for a highly motivated engineer specializing in security and detection to defend Tesla's information, infrastructure and products. The platform you help us build, protect and inspect will scale novel functionality to millions of Tesla devices and users.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, Implement, Improve, manage, and automate Tesla's monitoring, detection, and incident response capabilitiesBuild new signals and automate the detection and response to threats at scaleWork with our offensive security team to detect and stop cutting edge threatsWork with our Incident Response team to pioneer a framework responsible for detecting and responding to incidents in vehicle backend systemsImplement ideas to build the new signals and automate the detection and response to threats at scaleIntroduce new controls into the infrastructure platform that improves our defense in depthLead engineering teams in developing secure systems contributing to the spread of secure patterns and practicesRequirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, CE, EE or the equivalent in experienceUnderstanding and experience in security domains such as intrusion detection, incident response, malware analysis, application security, etc.Cloud Security knowledge, need to have understanding/experience with KubernetesDeep understanding of mobile & web application security threats, exploits, preventionProficiency in networking concepts (firewalls, load balancers, etc)Practical knowledge of applied cryptography and common attacks against modern cryptographic algorithms (encryption at rest, TLS, hashing, etc)Experience with Go, Ruby, PythonCompensation and BenefitsBenefits

$104,000 - $360,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
