Responsible for properly executing security duties on assigned shift, to adequately protect the life and property of guests, associates and the company's property, and to ensure a high degree of Guest interaction and to provide the utmost Guest service in both a professional and courteous manner, while still enforcing the established gaming regulations. Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.
Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.
Perform assigned duties in accordance with the Choctaw Gaming Commission Regulations, internal controls, Standard Operating Procedures and written policies and procedures affecting the protection and safeguarding of all property assets at the Pearl River Resort. Accepts identification from all persons who appear to be under the legal age, to ensure compliance with state and federal gaming regulations. Greet and interact with all arriving Guests. Maintain knowledge of the current and ongoing Resort activities, as well as the locations of the Resort's venues. Maintain an ongoing headcount, check ID's, and provide information. Insure compliance to written policies and procedures pertaining to age requirements. Prevent guest from leaving property with open liquor container and make assessment to prevent departure of intoxicated guests. Interacts with guests and Associates in a positive, professional manner. Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained. Leads by setting a positive example to all associates. Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports. Promotes a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction in the department. Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record. AGE and GAMING: 21 years of age or above
Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED is preferred. Six (6) months of previous related Security experience would be beneficial.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must be C. A. R. E. (Controlling Alcohol Risk Effectively) certified before starting to work and obtain a test score of 84% or higher. Must successfully complete all relevant training offered by the Security Department. May not be convicted or arrested of any criminal offense.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and other associates of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Essential duties for this position include but not limited to the following: Safely lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasions as well stand and walk for 100% of assigned shift. Repetitive bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling will be required throughout shift. Must be willing to be involved in volatile situations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke. 
Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
