This position works in collaboration with Global Network & Security team.Essential FunctionsDesign, configure, deploy, and maintain Network and Security infrastructure at Ormat corporate and remote site locations in coordination with Global teamAnalyze problems, recommend solutions to meet business objectivesActively protect information technology assets and infrastructure from external or internal threats and ensure that the company complies with statutory and regulatory requirements regarding information access, security and privacyImplement firewall solutions to properly secure Company's data and provide consultation on all new firewall implementations, firewall configuration changes, and projects requiring security operational supportAssist the end-user, other IT professionals, and external customers in requesting security variances and implementation of subsequent configuration change requestsRecommend best security practices to achieve stated business objectives, advises on risk assumptions for any variances granted, and provides alternatives to achieve desired end resultsAssist in incident response for any breaches, intrusions, or theftMonitor systems for any anomalies, proper updating, and patchingMonitor vendor websites for potential threat alerts and software upgradesEvaluates and performs planning, testing, and implementation of software and hardware upgradesMaintains system documentation and configuration data for regulatory and audit purposesCoach and guide Service Desk and Desk Side Support technicians in their incident response, directing incident first responder actions, and appropriately escalating issuesMust possess at any time a valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to ORMAT's auto insurance carrierMust be able to operate a vehicle in a safe mannerMust have the ability to travel to other locations up to 50% of the time or moreOther Responsibilities* Performs other duties and support special projects as assignedEducation, Experience, and Skills RequiredBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience requiredMinimum of 6 years' experience of recent professional experience in network administration and network security protocols, hardware and softwareDemonstrated experience with network infrastructure design including telephones and videoDemonstrated experience with Cisco router and switch configurationDemonstrated experience with one or more of the following firewalls: Checkpoint, PaloAlto, Fortigate.
