The Role:Moderna is seeking a highly motivated bioinformatician with experience in mass-spectrometry based immunopeptidomics and proteogenomics to join our highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary, and fast-paced team. The primary focus of this position is to apply bioinformatics tools and establish computational pipelines for mass spectrometry data analyses and integration with other data modalities (genomics, transcriptomics). The successful candidate will work closely with computational biologists, immunologists, and translational biologists in Oncology Research to support target discover, translational research, and clinical development.Here's What You Will Do:Utilize and develop bioinformatics solutions for the analysis of large-scale mass spectrometry experiments (DDA and DIA), focusing on the identification and quantification of MHC-bound peptides (immunopeptidomics).Explore, evaluate, and analyze external (e.g. PRIDE) and internal immunopeptidomics and immunogenomics datasets to support therapeutic target discovery and validationInterpret complex datasets to drive biologically relevant findings in the context of immunopeptidomicsCollaborate closely with cross-functional research teams to design experiments and refine data acquisition strategies for improved data qualityMaintain detailed documentation of data analysis methods and resultsParticipate in team meetings and present findingsStay abreast of the latest developments in mass spectrometry data analysis and bioinformatics approaches.Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:Master's degree + 3 years of experience in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
