The Calvin University School of Business (CUSB) invites applications for a full-time faculty member in finance (open rank, tenure-track or renewable-term) to join the school beginning in August 2024. Requirements The university seeks applicants with vibrant Christian faith who are dedicated to integration of that faith with their field of study.
Ideal candidates will hold a PhD or other terminal degree in finance or a master's degree/MBA in finance and at least five years of finance experience. They are expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level and have an active stream of relevant research and publication. Prior experience teaching at the master's level is preferred but not required.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
Expertise and practical experience in finance
Strong networks among finance executives
Desire to help mentor and advise students
Experience teaching with a variety of methods and instructional technology

Faculty Responsibilities Ideal candidates will teach specialized courses in both finance and financial planning such as:
Finance (corporate finance, valuation, investments, derivatives, private equity and debt)
Financial planning (insurance, retirement planning, estate planning, and personal finance)
Candidates will actively pursue a scholarship agenda; mentor and advise students; serve as faculty sponsor for Knight Investment Management ; participate in Calvin University and School of Business committees; and actively engage with professional and academic associations in finance.
Faculty members typically teach 24 semester hours per academic year. Faculty are expected to grow in Reformed Christian commitment, to pursue an active scholarly agenda, to teach effectively, and to serve the university, department, students, and the wider community. Candidates will be asked to affirm their commitment to the educational mission of Calvin University as a Christian liberal arts university in the Reformed tradition, affiliated with the Christian Reformed Church. About the Calvin University School of Business In 2021, the CUSB received a generous $22.25 million gift to build a new
