Salary Range: $45,000-$94,315

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Colorado Teaching License within 60 days from date of hire Elementary Endorsement in Core Content Area or Special Education Generalist or Valid Colorado Special Services License or eligible for same at time duties are assumed Teacher must be highly qualified in applicable content area through the following options: Endorsement on a Colorado teaching license 36 semester credit hours applicable to content area Passing score on a State Board of Education approved content exam (currently the ETS Praxis Series) Employee must complete a fingerprint-based criminal background check and must be cleared by the Office of Human Resources Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Experience in a Title I or low income setting Three to five years successful teaching experience at the secondary level (demonstrated by references and evaluations, and student growth) Demonstrate leadership qualities; aspiring leader Training and Experience with Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) and willing to be trained. Training and Experience with Professional Learning Communities (PLC) Experience with increasing student achievement and engagement in learning Experience teaching at the middle school level MINIMUM JOB EXPECTATIONS: Work with Administrative Team and Counseling team to support student behaviors, contribute to and support the Response to Intervention plans for students; manage day to day student issues that may arise to better support them in the classroom. Participate and be a contributing member of daily Professional Learning Communities Maintain a positive professional attitude of excellence, collaboration and unified purpose Communicate frequently with parents, teachers and school administration Help support Effective Classroom Management that is founded in Positive Behavior Support.
