Job Summary:
This position will help with monitoring and analyzing the data to ensure the good quality of the data for 6.5B state aid payment allocation. In charge of compiling student and financial data for state and federal government reporting purposes and fulfilling the data request to both internal and external customers. Rarely in-state and out-of-state travel is required for this position.
The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment, with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate.



Job Duties:
Student data analysis and reporting including daily monitoring and monthly comprehensive analysis Financial data analysis and reporting for state and federal government, such as superintendent annual financial report, F33 and NPEF Recurring data request for both internal/external state agencies, and data request from school/charter districts and public User acceptance test (new system, modification, and enhancement for the existing system as well) Open enrollment report which is a very comprehensive report and need to report average daily membership based on resident, non-resident and open enrollment by both local education agency and county level Provide technical training to school finance team Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge in:

Knowledge and experience with advanced-level Excel and database (SQL), structured query language and query reporting Strong knowledge, skills, and experience associated with analyzing complex program, data and information issues Working knowledge of systems analysis or diagnostic process in a business work environment User acceptance training with end users and IT Applicants must have data analyst experience and experience with data and financial systems A bachelor's degree in Statistic or IT or a related field or equivalent experience to substitute for the degree, is required.
Skills in:

Effectively communicate verbally, in presentations, and through written means Strong problem solving and analytical skills Work with multiple large databases simultaneously Organizational and time management Advanced skills in Excel (including Power Pivot), SQL, and Ad Hoc Reports
Ability to:

Manage time and be self-motivated to execute appropriate projects by deadlines Effectively communicate results and findings to parties with varying degrees of understanding of the subject matter, in written and oral communication, both informal and formal. Selective Preference(s):
