Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and oversee behavior interventions for school students Complete assessments including functional analysis Write effective positive behavior support plans Complete all behavior sections of the IEP Design, manage and interpret data collections systems Report on progress at least quarterly Participate in quarterly home visits for parent training Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians Provide the required supervision according to the BACB for RBTs Assist with in-service training development and implementation Support the teachers and allied health professionals Assist with problem solving skill acquisition programs Provide research to support alternate teaching plans Collaborate on new strategies using scientific methods Qualified candidates should have: An empathetic and supportive attitude towards all students Strong interpersonal communication for collecting information from students and dissemination to staff The ability to work under general supervision Time management and multitasking skills The ability to create professional relationships with students Strong attention to detail A solid understanding of the environment in which students are being assessed and seeking assistance The ability to take initiative and act effectively in various circumstances without immediate direction Self-confidence/perseverance/strong work ethic - remain positive and maintain progress toward a goal despite obstacles and adversity Trustworthiness, dependability, and demonstrated ethical behavior Ability to utilize operating software such as Central Reach and SharePoint Job Requirements Master's Degree or PhD completed in Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field Maintain Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credentials PA Behavior Specialist License preferred Has working knowledge of current issues of importance to the autism spectrum disorder and special education communities Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder is required Has demonstrated experience using and understanding assessment tools, VP-MAPP, ABLLS-R, Essentials for Living, or similar assessment tools and data collections systems Supervisory/Management Experience Potential believes that all people are entitled to equal employment opportunities.
