Who We Are Woodfords Family Services is a nonprofit organization that's been committed to the support and inclusion of people with special needs and their families in Maine communities for over 55 years! Today, the organization provides an array of clinical, behavioral health and educational programs to more than 2,000 children, youth and adults living with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses across the state of Maine.
Position Summary The School-based BHP Program at Woodfords is actively searching for BHPs to join their team of dedicated professionals who are committed to the support and inclusion of children and teens with special needs. As a School-based BHP, you will work one-on-one with a child or adolescent in the public school setting to help achieve learning and development objectives.
Individual goals are assessed and related to the learner's behaviors, social skills, personal and daily routines, and community inclusion. Through the use of evidence-based practices, you will help foster a therapeutic, enriched, and meaningful learning environment for students to learn foundational skills that promote greater independence!
Highlights:
Sign-on Bonus! BCBA Supervision hours for individuals in qualified program Employer-paid school vacation week in December - yes we'll cover your holiday break! Schedule & Compensation Full-time, 7:30am - 3:00pm Monday through Friday - No Weekends!$20.00 - $22.00/hour (commensurate with experience) Qualifications Minimum of 60 college credits required, 90 credits strongly preferred. Associate's or bachelor's degree in psychology, social services, education, or related field preferred. BHP certification (course can be completed as part of employment and paid for by Woodfords) Valid driver's license with current auto insurance and use of a reliable vehicle Not certified as a School-Based BHP? We'll cover the training!
