Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
Sanitization Technicians contribute to our mission of saving and sustaining lives by being the first point of contact to receive medical devices for service into our facility. Receives and unpackages product, cleans the exterior of the device, and continues the defined sanitization process for the specified product line. The defined sanitization process varies by product line but includes automated UV sanitization and/or manual sanitization. This position operates and monitors the equipment required to sanitize incoming product, follows standard work instructions, and completes documentation in computer systems. Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOP's, equipment, policies and procedures, including any department specific requirements. Maintains a mindset that all accidents can be prevented and works pro-actively to achieve zero harm in the workplace. Follows defined Quality Management Systems, all applicable procedures, reviews maintenance records, and completes all documentation as required. Maintains a continuous flow of the servicing line and works independently and as a part of a team to achieve process yield results. Receives and unpackages all incoming medical devices and follows procedures to assess proper disposition of medical equipment. Uses chemical solutions to disinfect and sanitize devices, production equipment or the immediate work environment (i.e., diluted bleach solution, hydrogen peroxide, alcohol wipes, etc.). Operates and monitors UV cleaning equipment and escalates issues as needed. Prepares cleaning and sanitizing solutions, as per standard operating procedures. May rotate into the assembly, repair, shipment preparation, and test areas as needed. May train employees on an as needed basis. Performs other duties as assigned. High School diploma or GED required infested. Previous electrical mechanical assembly repair OR testing experience is preferred, but not required. Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow work instructions is required. Ability to work well together and independently and as a part of a team with minimal supervision. Proficient computer skills required to enter data, navigate, and routinely toggle between various application systems. Ability to perform basic math is required. Must be able to wear applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas as required including safety glasses at all times. Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent walking, stooping, reaching, grasping and using gross motor manipulation. Requires regularly working with cleaning and sanitizing solutions such as diluted bleach. Ability to occasionally handle medical devices that have come in contact with bodily fluid and or insects. Must be able to lift up to 36lbs on a routine basis. Depending on rotation, may work in shipment preparation and must be able to lift up to 42lbs and use material handling equipment (ex. pallet jack or walkie stacker). Listed salary ranges may vary based on experience, qualifications, and local market. Also, some positions may include bonuses or other incentives.
