Opportunity: As an Sales Engineer for Insul-Fab, you will work with existing and new customer accounts, serving them through joint-development of design solutions and new product introduction. You will utilize our supplier channels and their engineering resources to create relationships with OEM Design Engineers, Product Engineers, Program Managers, and Supply Chain Leaders to expand our market reach. Most customers are OEMs that have product insulating needs, whether thermal, electrical, acoustical or general sealing and dampening. Working from our offices in Coppell, Texas, you will seek to provide engineered solutions for OEM industries that include electronics, medical, transportation, HVAC, power conversion & energy storage, and aerospace, to name a few.
The Sales Engineer will also work with outside Manufacturer's Representative groups located throughout North America to help design, prototype, and quote mechanical solutions. The Sales Engineer will be supported by an experienced Inside Sales and Production Engineering team. There will be a book of current, existing accounts for the Sales Engineer to get started on, and continued growth will come through working new opportunities from web leads, suppliers, outside representatives, and prospecting with Insul-Fab's Sales and Management teams.
Key Accountabilities: Support new design activity though collection of customer requirements, responding with solution-oriented materials and process information. Work toward proposed solutions using company capabilities. Locate decision makers (typically engineers and senior buyers); determine what types of products that they
need or are currently using; conduct solution-based consultations internally and externally; provide technical data, samples and prototypes Create a competitive quotation in conjunction with the engineering team Develop new business accounts through lead follow-up, disciplined prospecting with outside reps and internal team Maintain relationships with existing customers, strive to increase current book of accounts 5%-10% annually Maintain relationships with supplier Field Sales Engineers and Account Managers for new business co-development Qualify sales leads and prospects to ensure that they are suitable for our solutions Manage multiple projects and coordinate resources to serve the customer Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or similar Engineering program from accredited University Desire to combine engineering with practical problem solving for customers Consultative mind-set with excellent communication and presentation skills High energy, disciplined and self-motivated team player Must pass background check and drug screen Job Snapshot Base Pay: (Based upon experience and credentials) Commission: (Based upon experience and credentials) Bonus: Quarterly, based on new business development Employee Type: Full-Time Travel: 10% - 15% Our Benefits:
