Responsibilities
• Sell stamps, stamped paper, and retail products• Accept and deliver packages and accountable mail• Process postal money orders• Handle customer claims and inquiries• Maintain retail lobby appearance• Set-up and replenish displays and merchandise racks• Conduct product inventories• Rental of post office boxes• Distribute primary and secondary mail schemes• Perform passport duties as assigned• Perform mail processing and customer services duties• Handle heavy sacks of mail/parcels• Sell postal products and services• Interact with a variety of customers• Analyze problems and develop appropriate solutions• Exercise courtesy and self-control in providing customer service• Use technology-based business equipment• Understand postal regulations and procedures• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
Requirements
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with people• Basic mathematical computations skills• Ability to work independently• Ability to reference, comprehend, and use information• Demonstrating conscientiousness and initiative• Ability to safely perform job duties• Successful completion of Virtual Entry Assessment CS• Successful completion of prescribed training• Physical ability to perform job duties• Pass pre-employment drug screening• U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien status
