Position Summary: The Sales Development Manager oversees all sales execution for assigned customers within a specific territory. This position maximizes profitable sales opportunities by thoroughly understanding the complexities of the customer's business and building enduring relationships based on trust and integrity with the assigned customer management teams.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: Sell customer plans that include annual customer marketing agreements (CMA) Sell strategic and tactical pricing plans along with promotional plans that align with and support the customer's and company's business objectives and strategies Evaluate outlet opportunities Sell and overcome customer objections Understand P& L statements and manage budgets Support customers in reaching sales potential on company products by offering creative selling ideas Propose appropriate brands, packages, and equipment solutions to satisfy customer needs as well as leverage national and local marketing initiatives with the customers Develop a customized business plan addressing the critical needs of the customer or channel while delivering Coke system budgeted profit and volume Develop a customer specific strategic plan (price/package) that generates desired results for both the customer and the company Sell and execute customer specific Picture of Success (PicOS) promotions and programs Track daily, weekly and monthly call activity and performance measurements against assigned goals and expectations Conduct post promotional analysis measuring the success levels of promotions and make any necessary changes for improvement Manage time and territory travel proactively to achieve optimum face-to-face selling opportunities Host customer events to best align relationships with the customer Maintain regular interaction with store level, as well as district and market manager customers leaders Manage and communicate customers' performance and results on a regular basis Other projects or duties as assigned Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 4 plus years of experience in consumer products/goods industry and/or direct store delivery sales or HS Diploma/GED and 7 plus years of experience in consumer products/goods industry and/or direct store deliver sales Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to influence others at all levels of an organization Experience delivering annual business plans and price packages to customers Proficient computer and database application skills Must have reliable automobile transportation, maintain an acceptable driving record and valid driver license, and maintain auto insurance coverage at least to the minimum amount specified by the Company and state law Valid driver's license and driving record within MVR policy guideline This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test Preferred Skills and Experience: Intermediate to advanced computer and database application skills Experience managing budgets Physical Demands and Work Environment :
