Sales Coordinator Location Hybrid work in La Crescent, MN : Position Overview The Sales Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving sales initiatives, overseeing sales activities, and ensuring efficient sales administration. This position acts as a bridge between the sales department and front desk operations, focusing on nurturing existing accounts, cultivating new business, and optimizing revenue streams while prioritizing guest and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all hotel sales endeavours, providing guidance and motivation to execute effective sales and marketing strategies
- Identify potential clients and referral opportunities through research, networking, social media, and events to expand the client base
- Strategize to maximize hotel revenue and occupancy across leisure, corporate, contract, and group segments
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients to facilitate group bookings, encompassing room sales and function room arrangements
- Develop tailored sales and marketing plans at the hotel level to align with broader organizational strategies and initiatives
- Maintain comprehensive sales records, including reports, function room schedules, historical data, and potential leads
- Regularly update management on sales activities and outcomes through detailed reports and analyses
- Assist with market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities
- Ensure timely and efficient servicing of all business accounts to enhance client satisfaction and retention
- Assist in training staff on Sales Standards and Brand Loyalty Program(s), fostering a culture of exceptional guest service
- Foster positive relationships within the local community (La Crescent and La Crosse), including engagement with the CVB and Chamber of Commerce
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices through workshops, seminars, and networking events
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients throughout the sales process
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required
- Minimum of two years of experience in a sales role, preferably within the hospitality industry
- Proficiency in sales and marketing principles, along with strong administrative skills
- Excellent communication skills in the primary language used in the workplace
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, negotiate, and network
-Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficient in Salesforce or other CRM software
- Ability to effectively supervise situations and accomplish goals within specified timelines

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
