Summary/objective The Sales Consultant serves as the first point of contact between potential customers and Palmetto Renovations. The ideal candidate is a charismatic person who enjoys the art of sales.
Pay: $20,000/yr base plus commissions
Essential functions Reasonable accommodation(s) may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Consults with existing and potential clients to assess and understand equipment needs and systems requirements. Drafts or assists with the drafting of presentations and other documentation and materials that explain products and services to customers. Provides expertise and support to design and fulfillment teams to communicate products, services, and client needs. Ensures that customer needs are met, which may include product modifications. Proposes improved materials or products to customers and explains benefits of changes. Provides support to customers and resolves problems with installed equipment. Works with Fulfillment department to ensure product orders and schedules deliveries are completed on time and to standard. Performs other duties as assigned. Competencies Excellent verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills. Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences. Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Supervisory responsibilities None
Work environment Indoor Office
Physical demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds (11.34Kg) at a time. Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate a computer and perform sales activities in an office environment, with or without reasonable accommodations. Travel required. Periodically travel to project sites to take accurate measurements for projects and meet with clients.
Required education and experience. High School/GED Interest sales Ability to learn and apply a large amount of information in a short amount of time. Preferred education and experience Degree in Sales/Marketing 3+ year of sales experience Additional eligibility requirements Must have or be willing to purchase own laptop computer to use Chief Architect and similar software.
