Responsibilities
• Understand and educate customers on highly technical renewable power asset management service• Drive sales opportunities through cold-calling, lead-generation campaigns, trade shows and modern social selling techniques• Develop and implement sales strategies, identify, and qualify target customers, create sales pipelines, and conduct market analysis, to meet revenue targets• Gain new business, and incremental revenue to meet sales targets• Create proposals that outline return on investment to help potential customers make informed decisions• Retain, manage, and grow the existing customer relationships• Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network with potential clients, partners, and industry stakeholders• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and competitors• Negotiate terms and structure contracts with customers to secure deals• Monitor sales metrics, sales progress and annual forecast using CRM and other available tools• Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success
Requirements
• 5+ years of sales track record selling technical services or solutions• Experience as a key account manager or selling to large companies• Proven presentation skills and ability to articulate complex topics• Demonstrated success in negotiating and closing complex deals in a consultative manner• Excellent English communication skills• Ability and desire to travel within North America for team events, customer meetings and conferences (around 50% of your time)• Knowledge of wholesale electricity markets and of the independent power producer is an asset
