Job Summary: Southern Roofing and Renovations is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our roofing and renovation projects. This includes inspecting roofing installations, evaluating workmanship, and verifying compliance with industry standards and company specifications. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess the skills to change shingles and install gutters when necessary. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive inspections of roofing installations and renovation projects to ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and company specifications. Inspect and evaluate the quality of workmanship, materials, and overall project execution, identifying any deficiencies or areas requiring improvement. Document inspection findings, including detailed reports and photographs, and provide recommendations for corrective actions as necessary. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to address any quality-related concerns or issues promptly. Perform inspections at various stages of the construction process, including pre-construction, during installation, and upon project completion. Verify that proper safety protocols and procedures are being followed on job sites to ensure the well-being of workers and compliance with regulations. Assist in conducting root cause analyses and identifying areas for process improvement to enhance overall quality and efficiency. Utilize various tools, instruments, and equipment to conduct inspections accurately and efficiently. Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and field staff regarding quality control standards and best practices. Occasionally perform hands-on tasks, such as changing shingles and installing gutters, to address immediate needs or emergencies. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or vocational training in construction or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector in the roofing and renovation industry. Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques. Proficiency in identifying and evaluating quality issues, such as leaks, faulty materials, and poor workmanship. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and organized inspection records. Effective communication skills to interact with project teams, contractors, and clients. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently. Physical dexterity and stamina to occasionally perform hands-on tasks, such as changing shingles and installing gutters. Ability to lift and haul roofing materials.
