Responsibilities
• Make daily work assignments• Direct the work of employees• Reassign employees as needed• Prepare written evaluations of assigned employees• Enforce center policies and issue disciplinary action• Participate in training programs and assist in orientation of new staff• Assess and implement care plans for all residents• Coordinate care with other departments• Communicate with medical professionals regarding resident needs• Ensure timely documentation and progress notes• Assist with admission process• Assume care of residents in the absence of a nurse• Maintain cleanliness and order supplies• Receive and transcribe orders to resident charts
Requirements
• Must possess a current RN license• Minimum 1 year of supervisor experience in long term care preferred• BLS Certified• Knowledge of rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices, regulations and guidelines
