Responsibilities
• Complete assessments and determine hospice needs• Provide professional nursing care and develop care plans• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed• Counsel patients and families and assist with daily living activities• Coordinate patient care and communicate with healthcare professionals• Participate in on-call duties and maintain necessary equipment• Supervise ancillary personnel and continue education• Participate in quality assessment performance improvement teams• Maintain accurate clinical notes and provide self-care instructions• Ensure a safe environment for patients and meet emotional needs
Requirements
• Graduate of a National League for Nursing accredited school of nursing• Minimum of two years of experience, preferably in public health, home care, or hospice nursing• Registered nurse with current licensure• Excellent observation, problem-solving, and communication skills• Ability to organize and prioritize workload independently• Current CPR certification• Licensed driver with a reliable automobile• Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
