Responsibilities
• Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to residents• Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care• Cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment• Coordinate care, perform resident assessment, and provide nursing interventions• May serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to assistive personnel• Function within the scopes and standards of nursing practice• Obtain and maintain required certifications and competencies• Adhere to the Code of Ethics for Nurses• Maintain professional conduct
Requirements
• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred• Hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing• Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state• Obtain and maintain required certifications and competencies
