The ideal candidate will have experience in RMBS with knowledge of the residential mortgage sector. A Senior Analyst within the RMBS group holds an integral role on the transaction rating team, working with other members of the transaction rating team on all aspects of the process from collateral analysis to report publication.Job Responsibilities:Perform transaction analysis including originator/servicer evaluation, loan pool analysis, modeling and analysis of bond structure, and review of legal structure and documentation.Assist in the preparation of credit memoranda and presentation of transactions to rating committees.Prepare and contribute to individual transaction reports for publication.Assist in the publication of special topic and market commentaries.Work with the surveillance team in monitoring and updating ratings on existing transactions.Attend and participate in seller/servicer due diligence (which, in some cases, may require travel).Successful candidates will possess the following:A. / B.S. degree in a relevant field of study.Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of relevant Residential Real Estate, Rating Agency, RMBS, or similar experience required.Strong Excel skills (excel test may be administered as part of the interview process).Strong oral and written communications skills (writing sample on request).VBA, Python, R and SQL skills are a plus.Familiarity with resi-mortgage datasets and tools such as CoreLogic, Fannie/Freddie Single Family Data, Intex etc. is a plus.Exceptional attention to detail.Ability to take initiative, work independently, and work closely with partners in a collaborative environment. About the Team:Our RMBS team has issued ratings on securities from nearly 700 transactions spanning across Prime, Non-QM, GSE CRT, Reverse Mortgage, 2ndLiens, RPLs and more. Our primary objective is to issue high quality credit ratings and maintain them in a timely manner. This objective involves conducting asset credit risk analysis; liability structure scenario analysis; and publishing our viewpoints based on these analyses and our research. We pride ourselves on the quality, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of our product.Salary Range:The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000 - $90,000.
