Reyes Fleet Management (RFM) is an essential part of Reyes Holdings. RFM services and maintains the fleet of trucks and equipment for the Reyes Family of Businesses. We are one of the largest fleets in the United States, working within our business unit distribution centers across the nation. We partner with our internal customers in the areas of asset management, safety and compliance, and training. Our goal is to assist in the reduction of cost and risk throughout the Reyes Family of Businesses. In addition to our world-class support, we also manage Reyes Academy – a state-of-the-art training facility in Fredericksburg, Virginia that trains 600+ professional drivers a year as well as transportation and other operations management. Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Reyes Mobile Unit Instructor for our Reyes Academy division. This position requires the ability to travel 100% Monday-Friday , at least 40+ weeks a year across region.

We consider a number of factors when making individual compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business needs. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive program, subject to the rule governing the program.
Position Summary:
This position will train and evaluate Reyes Academy participants through a rigorous curriculum and testing. This role will occasionally support safety and training initiatives through site visits to enhance overall driving skills, safety, and compliance. This role will travel to each location for training. Travel includes 1+ weeks away from home; air-travel required.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: Work with Academy leadership and local managers to determine training needs, relatable training offerings and schedule training sessions Assist in the design of effective training programs Assist in the selection and booking of venues/facilities Conduct seminars, workshops, individual training sessions etc. as needed Prepare educational material such as module summaries, videos etc. as needed Support and mentor new employees as needed Keep attendance and other records Manage training, travel, and entertaining budgets for self and mobile training expenditures Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement Monitor employee performance and response to training Assign schedules and ensure quality education standards are maintained in a safe, professional, and accurate manner Throughout program, full accountability for the driver readiness evaluation process, ensuring driver readiness prior to student handoff to the business unit Maintain compliance with Department of Transportation regulations including but not limited: Hours of Service; Compliance, Safety, Accountability; Roadside inspections; etc. Maintain paperwork and documentation to be in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: Driver Qualification Files, Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports, Driver Fitness, Driver Logs, etc. Through exceptional customer service communicate with participants and business unit leaders to promote Reyes Academy mission Ensure electronic databases used to track participants performance are updated and maintained in a timely basis and per DOT regulations and established processes Promote a safe, fair, and consistent work environment that engages participants and builds positive morale Promptly report and investigate any incidents, accidents and/or injuries. Follow any required post-accident testing per Department of Transportation regulations and/or Company policy Train participants in Department of Transportation regulations, Reyes Academy Curriculum and Company Policies, hold participants accountable for abiding to regulations and policies Successful execution of the training curriculum, schedule, and assessments. Observe all local, state, and federal ordinances Abide by all Company policies and guidelines Administer testing and evaluations throughout program and provide recommendations for continued employment of participants Any other duties as assigned Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field and 5 years related experience in a transportation, warehouse, or supply chain environment with proven team leadership OR High School Diploma and 8+ years related experience in a transportation, warehouse, or supply chain environment with proven team leadership Experience training and coaching drivers Class A Commercial Driver's License Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Strong communication skills and ability to speak in front of large audiences Ability to solve problems of a complex nature in a fast-paced environment Ability to handle multiple competing priorities Strong organizational skills Ability to learn new concepts and train others on new concepts Ability to work any schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to travel as needed. Up to 100% Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Experience with Department of Transportation regulations. Experience with on board computers such as Xata, XataNet and/or RoadNet Experience with routing software such as Paragon Experience with foodservice distribution/delivery Experience with beverage distribution/delivery This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test Preferred Skills and Experience: Supervisory experience Physical Demands and Work Environment:
