Retail Cashier Jerry's Home Improvement is hiring great people to join our Retail Checkout team at our Eugene store! Cashiers support Jerry's Value Mission of providing World Class Service to our customers by quickly and accurately ringing up customer purchases, ensuring they found everything for their project needs, and helping where help is needed. The Job As a Retail Cashier you have the opportunity to: Develop a long-term career with an established, employee-owned company Work on a great team focused on helping customers Receive training in other departments to grow with Jerry's Cashiers work to: Actively step out and greet customers in the checkout line Verify customers found what they needed Accurately scan product Provide solutions and alternatives, such as special orders, for products we don't currently have available Ensure correct pricing and verify total amounts Other duties as assigned Requirements A Retail Cashier requires: Courteous, Tactful, Diplomatic, Outgoing, and Friendly personality Strong attention to detail Ability to comfortably use a Point-of-Sale system and computers Ability to scan accurately, efficiently, and to follow all Checkout procedures Able to deliver world-class customer service in a fast-paced retail environment Ability to regularly lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 30-55 lbs.
