Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Senior Merchandise Manager to set annual merchandise plans for our retail stores, considering prior season analysis, trends, new product development, brand elevation, vendor changes, store evaluations, and merchandising strategy.
- Manage inventory turn, margins, Open to Buy, Merchandise Plans, and Assortment Plans based on sales forecasting.
- Ensure timely issuance of Purchase Orders in line with the seasonal calendar and vendor meetings.
- Oversee order management, receipt flow, and resolve any late or incomplete shipments.
- Create and manage plans for key drivers, collaborating with store operations on sales forecasting and inventory management.
- Review and analyze category reporting, providing action plans to Senior Merchandise management for execution.
- Build effective partnerships with Leadership, Vendors, Store Operations, and Team Members to support onsite needs.
- Collaborate with Store Operations and Visual Merchandising on store planning and floor plans to support merchandise assortments.
- Review themes and product development with Senior Merchandise Manager for in-depth assortment development by category.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in merchandising, retail, business, or a related field (preferred)
- At least 3 years of retail buying experience, including soft-lines and souvenir or gift categories
- Proficiency in Excel
- Strong understanding of retail terms and metrics (Sales, Margin, COGS, OTB, Sell-Through Percentages, Turn, Comp Store Analysis, Terms, Dating, etc.)
