JOB DESCRIPTION: Use your sales skills to educate homeowners on the benefits of installing solar on their home. This fast paced, exciting position provides exceptional growth potential for a self-motivated team player. This position requires a unique combination of technical & communication skills and takes a consultative approach to the sale of PV solar systems. This is a non-commission role, and the applicant should love working on a team in a collaborative environment within our democratically run Cooperative.
A cover letter is required for consideration for this role. RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and sell residential PV solar systems. Use a consultative sales and design approach to help meet project goals of the customer. Prepare proposals for potential customers and present the benefits via video conference or phone. Manage your sales pipeline and log all customer communication using Salesforce CRM. Prepare purchase agreements and take the customer through the closing process. Set expectations with the customer and educate them on the installation process and timeline. Communicate with Residential Operations to effectively handoff projects for implementation. Collaborate effectively with the Sales Team and other departments. Exchange knowledge, share best practices, and be open to giving and receiving feedback. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Outstanding communication and follow-up skills. Experience providing excellent customer service. Practice self-awareness, accountability, confidence, and poise while juggling numerous tasks and responsibilities. Must be organized and detail oriented with experience managing a large pipeline. Understand financial calculations and how to present those concepts to customers, (ROI, IRR, NPV). Team player in a collaborative rather than competitive sales team environment. Proficient with computers, Salesforce & Microsoft Office Suite. NON-ESSENTIAL (Valued but not required skills and experience): Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Experience using Aurora Solar for PV solar design. NABCEP Technical Sales certification. Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience, or Engineering degree. SEI Solar PV courses, and/or COSEIA Certification. COMPENSATION AND TERMS: Position is full-time salaried, non-commission. Path to Co-Ownership in the Cooperative. Yearly Patronage Dividend to Co-Owners depending on profitability. Starting salary range $50k - $65k, commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits including Health, Dental, Vision insurance, Disability and 401(k). A company issued EcoPass to ride RTD busses and light rail for free. Generous paid-time off package includes 3+ weeks of vacation/holidays in year 1 and increases with tenure.
