Residential Field Inspector

KBJW (Koontz Bryant Johnson Williams, Inc.), has an immediate opening for a Residential Field Inspector. Remote work from your vehicle and the comfort of your home. This is a 1099 contractor position. This position is ideal for someone who is retired or seeking part time work.
At KBJW, the residential field inspector will make site visits as scheduled by our office and make on-site field observations throughout multiple phases of construction. The Inspector will submit complete and accurate inspection reports, field observation notes, and photos to our office staff on an as needed basis for processing.
Preferably, the residential inspector should have some experience or knowledge in the Construction Industry. Understanding of Residential construction including concrete footings, foundations, slabs, and framing experience is also a plus, but not required.
On-site & In-house Training is Provided.
Paid at a fixed fee rate per inspection.
Paid on a weekly basis.
Job Requirements: Must maintain a professional appearance on site. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have reliable transportation. Must be willing to travel within reasonable territory (60mi radius from the Richmond area) Must be able to read a tape measurer and concrete thermometer. Must be punctual and possess excellent time management skills. Excellent communication skills - including writing ability and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and thorough note taking skills. Willing to take on short notice assignments when/if possible. Position Type & Hours: 1099 Contractor
Mon-Fri (Typically between the hours of 8am-5pm) - an average day is typically anywhere from 3-6 hours. This position provides an opportunity to be flexible with your availability. Our scheduling coordinators will work with you to meet your scheduling needs.
