Are you a skilled estimator with a passion for residential construction projects? We are searching for a dedicated Residential Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key player in our projects, you will be responsible for providing accurate and competitive estimates, contributing to the success of our growing company. Responsibilities:
Project Assessment: Review and analyze residential construction project plans and specifications to create detailed and precise cost estimates.
Cost Breakdown: Break down project costs into material, labor, and other relevant components, ensuring transparency and accuracy in estimates.
Vendor and Supplier Collaboration: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing, negotiate terms, and build strong relationships.
Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive and well-documented bids for residential construction projects, meeting submission deadlines.
Value Engineering: Identify and suggest cost-saving alternatives without compromising the quality and integrity of the project.
Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, construction methods, and material costs to enhance estimating accuracy.
Communication: Effectively communicate with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other team members to gather necessary information and refine estimates.
Documentation: Maintain organized records of project estimates, bids, and related documentation for future reference.
Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience as a Residential Construction Estimator, preferably in the residential building industry.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficient in construction estimating software and MS Office Suite.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess project requirements and provide accurate estimates.
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimating and budgeting.
Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information effectively.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
