Job Summary: This position will be responsible for overseeing the Social and Economic Inclusion research project, including participant recruitment, data collection, and payment for research participants, managing and analyzing data, preparing budget and activity reports, assisting with IRB applications, as well as performing administrative project management responsibilities.
This position will also be responsible for overseeing the running of the broader research lab, including supervising undergraduate research assistants, ensuring they are up-to-date on training, organizing lab professional development activities (e.g., the librarian providing a Zotero tutorial). Lastly, this person will assist as needed with administrative and data collection aspects for other projects going on in the lab.
This position may be hired at 50% or 100% FTE depending on the candidate's interest and qualifications. Responsibilities: Develops, designs, and conducts one or more research projects and organizes daily operation of projects and specialized research areas to ensure work meets established objectives under moderate supervision. 20% Conducts research experiments according to established research protocols with moderate impact to the project(s). Collects data and monitors test results 5% Operates, cleans, and maintains organization of research equipment and research area. Tracks inventory levels and places replenishment orders 20% Reviews, analyzes, and interprets data and/or documents results for presentations and/or reporting to internal and external audiences 20% Participates in the development, interpretation, and implementation of research methodology and materials 15% Provides operational guidance on day-to-day activities of unit or program staff and/or student workers 20% Performs literature reviews and writes reports Institutional Statement on Diversity: Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison. Qualifications: Required: One to three years of experience in a human subjects' research environment and knowledge of human subjects' research principles and regulations. Familiarity with gender-based violence prevention and/or intervention work. Ability to communicate with community partners and research participants in a trauma-informed and culturally safe manner. Strong attention to detail and work ethic. Excellent written and verbal communication as well as strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Preferred: Experience working with minoritized communities. Experience supervising/managing/coordinating a small team. Experience in Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel. Experience with statistical computing software, such as SPSS or SAS. Experience with survey software, such as Qualtrics. Work Type: Full or Part Time: 50% - 100%
It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
