Summary
The Research Program Manager will support NCCHCA's Research Department grant and project deliverables, as well as cross-cutting activities that support the Clinically Integrated Network's (Carolina Medical Home Network) efforts for data integration and performance improvement. They will play a critical role in identifying opportunities, developing project plans, managing ongoing deliverables, and analyzing data. They will coordinate the day-to-day operations of the FDA U01 grants on Clinical Trial Equity and work directly with the Director of Research to identify further funding opportunities to enhance this work and as well as identifying dissemination opportunities such as publications and speaking engagements. The Research Informaticist will collaborate and advocate for NCCHCA's FQHC members and patients by identifying project funding and clinical trial opportunities for organizations and patients, respectively. This position will prioritize equity and value based care, and the ideal candidate has a passion for improving the health of underserved communities and designing projects to capture and disseminate meaningful data and results. Qualification Requirements Experience with project management and development Experience with data collection, management, basic analysis, and presentation  Demonstrates analytical, project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills Strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication, verbal and written skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Minimum Qualifications (Degrees/Certificates) Masters level or higher STEM degree, degree in clinical informatics, public health, nursing, social work, or other health related field Project Management experience and/or training and experience in business management  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to organize projects and maintain infrastructure tracking, monitoring, analyzing project-level outcomes and develop new infrastructure when needed Understanding of process improvement and ability to lead small quality improvement trials (PDSA cycles) to capture performance data Able to effectively write progress reports and proposals  Highly-motivated and able to use critical thinking/problem-solving skills  Ability to collect and integrate data from multiple sources Investigate data to find patterns and trends to achieve research goals  Convert data into usable information for the research team and partners Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and able to analyze needs and program requirements to create an operational design solution Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey information effectively in multiple modalities and methods Ability to market NCCHCA research department via appropriate venues and with appropriate partners and able to lead meetings with follow up Understanding of budgetary processes including cost monitoring Experience with Value-Based Care and Payment preferred  Competence in Microsoft Office applications particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Preferred experience with healthcare analytics or statistical concepts (ex. SAS) Experience with healthcare, preferably employment in an FQHC or FQHC-LA a plus Familiarity with data visualization software Supervisory Responsibilities Yes Essential Functions Ability to function independently and make decisions while maintaining effective communication with supervisor Maintains effective professional relationships with health center staff, stakeholders, partners and NCCHCA staff Uses skills and knowledge to assist research partners and health centers to identify, apply, manage, and deliver on research projects Participates in professional organizations and maintains a professional network among colleagues Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
