Responsibilities
• Procurement, organization, and inventory of reagents and supplies• Repair and maintenance of equipment• Data management• Communicate with vendors for purchasing laboratory equipment• Serve as the laboratory's safety officer• Manage IBC protocol and IACUC protocols• Provide technical support for research projects• Prepare research findings for submission• Meet with the research team regularly• Train incoming laboratory members
Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in biomedical/chemical engineering, materials science, chemistry, molecular biology, or related discipline• 1-3 years of related experience• Proficient in Microsoft Office• Exceptional work ethic• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills• Ability to work independently and collaboratively• Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment• Willingness to learn new techniques• Experience with flow cytometry, microscopy, cell culture, polymer chemistry, and quantitative analysis techniques• Lab experience leading projects and organizing teams of researchers is preferred• Background and/or experience in lab maintenance
