Job summary
Fred Hutch is seeking to hire a Research Laboratory Manager for their Hematopoietic Cell Procurement and Processing (HCPP) CoreThe ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to scientific research, outstanding communication skills, and at least 3 years of laboratory leadership experienceCandidates with expertise in antibody-medicated cell enrichment procedures, flow cytometry, and cell cryopreservation are preferred

Responsibilities
• Direct all aspects of the laboratory, including personnel, operations, and compliance with regulatory agencies• Oversee quality control and assessment measures in the laboratory• Supervise and mentor staff• Plan and coordinate the work of the laboratory team• Interpret and oversee data characterizing cellular products• Supervise data management system input• Assist core users with orders and troubleshooting• Work with partners to define project goals and allocate resources• Assist PI with data extraction and presentation• Train new staff members• Oversee equipment verification and calibration
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a related field• Three to five years of progressive experience in a research laboratory setting• Two to three years of laboratory leadership experience• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Proficiency and experience in cell cryopreservation, tissue culture, flow cytometry, and cell purification techniques• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism
