Job Description ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Research Associate II to join our U.S./UK Joint Program team in Colorado Springs, CO.
This position will provide you the opportunity to support U.S./UK Joint Program technical meetings. You will be responsible for meeting organization, execution, and completion. Additionally, you will be the liaison for UK Mutal Defense Agreement (MDA) and Polaris Sales Agreement (PSA) export control requirements and tracking. You will act as the POC for UK systems engineering and/or surveillance groups. You will assist in classified meeting scheduling and organization and provide backup support for the other technical groups, as required. The ideal candidate for this position should be comfortable interfacing with high-ranking customer counterparts and should be able to determine appropriate courses of action to ensure that the customer is satisfied.
Become dedicated point of contact for all meeting management and logistics between the U.S. and UK government and their contractorsCoordinate and host technical program meetings and prepare summaries and/or minutes afterwardsUnderstand technical verbatim and high-level systems engineering conceptsDocument, track, and report on technical program meeting action itemsUnderstand and manage transmissibility reporting for all atomic information to foreign governmentsTrack and support electronic file transmission for various meetings and briefingsReview unclassified and classified documents to ensure there are no classification issuesPeriodically write technical reports and other technical documentation, as required by the contractPerform other duties in support of the customer, as requiredMust be willing to travel domestically/internationally in accordance with customer meeting requirements Qualifications Required Experience: A BS/BA in a technical field (Science or Engineering) or in an English field and 0+ years of related experienceDemonstrate experience with organization, logistics, and meeting managementDemonstrate experience in technical writing and report curationDemonstrate understanding of government enterprises and navigate within teamsDisplay strong communication with customers on a daily basisExperience creating meeting materials and working with a large teamDesire to grow in your career with a diverse teamAble to work both independently and as a member of a teamPossess strong written and oral skillsWillingness to travel up to 50% of the timeThe ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Q clearanceDesired Experience: An MS or MA in a technical field (Science or Engineering) or in an English field and have 3+ years of related experienceExperience with teaching and/or leading large teamsExperience with Navy SLBM missile and reentry body programsExperience working in a classified environment and with security-related operationsFamiliar with the design and military utilization of nuclear weaponsFamiliar with treaty and agreements related to the U.S./UK nuclear cooperation Equal Pay Act This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
