A valid driver's license issued by the State where the applicant resides and insurability as defined in UTS 157may be required to perform the position's essential functions.
Purpose of Position Plans, directs andmanages accounting activities within Grants Management Accounting.
Essential Functions Performsduties at a BEGINNER LEVEL such as:
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts in the University'sgeneral ledger.
Applies funds received both as check and ACH to appropriate project/invoices.
Downloads and reconcilersbank deposits daily.
Performs statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and the impact of significant changes to theaging report.
Reviews contracts, NOAs, emails, GARTs and invoices for information regarding payments received.
Audits,investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries in the AR module.
Determines proper handling offinancial transactions, works with multiple departments to inquire about payment status.
Monitors compliance with generallyaccepted accounting principles and University policy and procedures.
Assists with various special projects as needed, such as thetesting of institutional software systems.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutionalsoftware systems, to include Peoplesoft, ORSP tools, GART, Milestones Database and Subcontract Database.
Complies with all Stateand University policies.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor'sdegree in Accounting or Business Administration with 15 credit hours in accounting from a four-year College or university.
