USD $78,800.00/Yr. - USD $175,000.00/Yr.

Position Summary
Enterprise Data & Analytics leads campus-wide enterprise data and analytics including data governance, architecture, data and application integration, database administration, and business intelligence such as reporting and analytics. This team sets the tone for UCLA's data culture, further ingraining data usage into the university's ways of working. The Enterprise Data & Analytics team manages the technology, processes, and support needed to equip university stakeholders with thorough, secure, and accessible data. The Reporting and Analytics team drives data-driven decision making at UCLA by providing delivering advanced data analytics, learning analytics, data modeling, automation, reporting and dashboarding, and other business intelligence solutions.
The Reporting & Visualization Developer will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence reports and dashboards to support effective decision making throughout the university. This role will ensure that solutions balance technical excellence with usability and accessibility while delivering best-in-class solutions to support a broad range of customers, partners, and key stakeholders.The Reporting & Visualization Developer will positively impact UCLA's operations and culture by enabling University stakeholders to effectively leverage data and insights in service of the institution's academic mission. This team member will advance the University's mission by delivering exceptional information technology services comprehensively and consistently across faculty, staff, and students. This role will execute UCLA's vision while modeling UCLA's culture and values.
Salary & Compensation
*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications 3 years Experience working in one or more of the following fields: information technology, data services, application services, IT service management, or related field. (Required) Experience developing reports and dashboards leveraging a business intelligence and/or reporting platform. (Required) Experience creating and optimizing SQL queries and working with databases such as IBM Cognos and Tableau. (Required) Experience with issue tracking and ticketing systems as well as source control and revision. (Required) Experience writing test cases for new and existing code to ensure compatibility and stability. (Required) Experience participating in activities to advance an inclusive environment that values equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging. (Required) 5 years Experience working in one or more of the following fields: information technology, data services, application services, IT service management, or related field. (Preferred) Foundational knowledge of the development and configuration of software solutions. (Required) Ability to understand and work with large, complex systems. (Required) Foundational understanding of security concepts and secure code development techniques. (Required) Ability to develop positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members. (Required) Familiarity with logical data design and data mapping or data conversion. (Required) Ability to provide both detailed information as well as summaries to peers and supervisors. (Required) Strong written and verbal communication skills and is able to communicate technical information and ideas to a diverse community of colleagues and stakeholders. (Required) Able to establish and advance positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members, stakeholders, and customers. (Required)
Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations Bachelor's Degree Information technology, computer science, public administration, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
