Responsibilities
• Responsible for order placement and inventory level functions on higher profile suppliers with multi-category focus• Creation of daily purchase orders and weekly warehouse transfers• Manages the day-to-day activities of inventory replenishment• Utilizes an exception-based replenishment system• Analyzes reports and sales trends to make effective procurement decisions• Manages targeted in stock position for all assigned suppliers and/or categories• Ensures compliance with company's procurement process• Reviews and analyzes daily/weekly reports• Monitors product data to ensure category goals are met• Assists in mentoring and training members of buying team
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred• One (1) or more years' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified• Strong interpersonal and communication skills• Ability to analyze and solve problems• Ability to use independent judgment and manage confidential information• Strong organizational and planning skills• Ability to recognize and articulate future trends• High ability to make decisions under pressure• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook
