Questions before applying? Role: The purpose of this position is to function as a part time pharmacist within a Tribal Health Care Facility on an as needed basis. This role involves dispensing medications, providing drug information to healthcare providers and patients, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines. The pharmacist will work collaboratively with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes and promote safe and effective medication use. The relief pharmacist provides coverage for the pharmacy on a part time basis.
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all minimum requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Minimum Requirements: Experience: MINIMUM: More than one year of experience as a licensed pharmacist.
PREFERRED: More than two years of experience as a licensed pharmacist.
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited Institution. Current state pharmacist license in good standing. Current and valid BCLS certification
Driving Requirements: Kansas driver's license free of occupational restrictions. Must be insurable with the Nation's insurance carrier.

Knowledge: Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures. Knowledge of organisms, their tissues, cells, functions, interdependencies, and interactions with each other and the environment. Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods. Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications. Knowledge of universal precautions for the prevention of communicable diseases. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customers and personal services. Knowledge of federal, state, & local law and policies pertaining to health care and pharmacy. Skills: Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Science: Using scientific rules and methods to solve problems. Instructing: Teaching others how to do something. Complex Problem Solving: Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Systems Analysis: Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes. Active Learning: Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. Abilities: Ability to work efficiently in a team-based environment. Ability to maintain a high level of privacy, confidentiality, and the rights of patients. Ability to interact professionally with all patients, staff, & outside stakeholders. Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules. Ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly.
