Our flexible work program allows employees to work virtually as well as come together in person when needed at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix and/or one of our site locations. Employees can work remotely from most states in the U.S., with the exception of California, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma and South Carolina. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. Should the position shift to in-person (office/site) work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time, so long as the position meets the established eligibility for these benefits.DescriptionUnder general supervision, provides technical advice and guidance for designated Reliability Engineering projects and programs at assigned site.Review, investigate, and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Reliability Engineering projectsWith minimum supervision utilizing new technology to constantly upgrade and improve site safety, efficiencies, cost controls, quality controls and protection of the environmentParticipate with Operations and Maintenance departments and other Engineering staff in problem solving efforts to improve safety, efficiencies, cost controls and protection of the environmentCoordinate project activities with Operations and Maintenance departments to improve equipment maintenance availability and other KPIsEnsure appropriate documentation for assigned projects are prepared and review documentation for accuracyParticipate on small to medium site construction, expansion or modification projectsAdminister contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipmentDevelop working knowledge of local, state and federal regulations appropriate to area of assignmentPerform other duties as requiredQualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in related Engineering disciplineandthree (3) years of related experience in Engineering,ORMaster's degree in related Engineering disciplineandtwo (2) years of related experience in EngineeringKnowledge in probability and statistical analysisKnowledge of the principles and practices of Reliability EngineeringAble to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusionsAbility to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautionsSkilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazardsAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial EngineeringCompletion of Reliability Engineering coursesSMRP or CMRP CertificationSix Sigma experience or CertificationCriteria/ConditionsAbility to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in EnglishAbility to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standardsMust be able to work in a potentially stressful environmentOccasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to thirty (30) pounds during the course of the workdayPersonal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as requiredFreeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testingWhat We Offer YouThe estimated annual pay range for this role is currently$84,000-$116,000.This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance. Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration. Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements.
